Join Earth Living Skills staff for a series of four weekends, immersing ourselves in and amongst the natural world. Each weekend will offer a variety of hand based skills and nature connection practices, as well as time to connect with one another around the fire, sharing stories, and cooking delicious seasonal foods together.

Skills and hand crafts will include: bark basketry, campfire cooking, tarps and knots, shelter building, fire building and tending, making friction fire kits, hide tanning, spoon making, wild harvesting, natural dyes, wildlife tracking, working with fibers, nature awareness and more. Instructors Zach Fisher and Michaela Himelfarb will be guiding your journey.

Each day will be spent with a flow of group bonding activities such as games and awareness exercises, hands on projects, and time reflecting with the group. We will feel deeply into each aspect of our days together and will root into the specific needs of the group.  The weather, the landscape and the group will determine specifics of our daily activities but you will complete this course with a deep understanding of your relationship with the natural world, the class community, and yourself.

We hope to grow our community of ELS Collective Instructors! Completion of this course is a vital step towards sharing these skills with others and helping others connect to nature in whatever you do.
